Q&A: What’s President Obama agenda concerning War on Drugs & Narco-Terrorism in Mexico & USA?
Question by Amerikan: What’s President Obama agenda concerning War on Drugs & Narco-Terrorism in Mexico & USA?
INTERNATIONAL ISSUES for INTERNATIONALORGANIZATIONS:
MEXICO-USA.
What is bad for Mexico is bad for USA/ What is good for Mexico is good for USA. Mexico and USA are facing the same enemy.
Terrorism & Narco-Violence in Mexico is being imported from other countries or communist islands, such as Cuba and southern Florida, and TV broadcasting stations love to televised and speread it through the US Spanish media( Telemundo & Univision)
& CNN & Fox in the anglo media.
Raul Castro’s communist drug cartel operates in the Caribbean, between Cuba and Florida, and its at war against Mexican drug cartels in the northern border and pacific coast of Mexico,,and the Mexican government!
Although in Mexico are living millions of US Citizens, the wave of terrorism continues. ( war on drugs is a failure policy, and an excuse to spread terrorism in Mexico)! Is this terror nacro-communist tactic campaign worth for them and the USA interests?
This is a very important International issue for world wide peace and democracy: ” illegal drugs” & “Supply & Demand”;
* What a controversy!
An Issue that was not debated by Obama or Mcsame.
Will it be ? Regularization, Legalization, taxation, decriminalization? In the last third debate, McCain seemed so excited and enthusiastic with Colombian imports and trade agreements with Colombia! yeah-of course!, he needs his(white powder) coke! lol
“Cocaine” is harvested in Andino-America(Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador), and most of it, is trafficked ” via Cuba-Florida.”
…So
why Terrorism In Mexico?
Who’s behind the violence and terrorism in Mexico?- Might be some drug traffickers, like communist Raul Castro, \and his friends in Miami,FL! ..What about ” Merida Initiative” ?
What about drugs and organized crime in Florida/Cuba/Venezuela and Cancun?
-What is President Obama position on that?
?
druggies:
however, illegal drugs are supplied from all around the world,
black heroin from central-america, opium from Afghanistan and China, Ecstasy from the Netherlands, meths from other places,
Marijuana from Nepal, Mexico, Canada or homegrown,
All sort of prescribed medications. ,, Americans just LOVE drugs!
So,
What is the solution?
( To keep blaming on Mexican Cartels and spread violence in Mexico, while hiding communist cuban-floridian drug trafficking and terrorism )?
or face the truth and Legalize, Regularize, and Tax?
Ask to your presidenti for a solution!
Just remember that most illegal drugs come to our country where are distributed, sold and consumed by million of Americans!
We don’t have to terrorize other countries for that, do we?
( supply and demand ) vs Peace & Justice,
Stop terrorism!

Obama gets his cocaine from the Secret Service for security reasons, so he is OK with drugs for the next several years.

f the USA does not help Mexico in its fight against narco-terrorism, what would
happen in USA? I guess this is an international issue, isn’t it?
- Supply & Demand – go hand by hand.
Mexico might be corrupt, but the USA is also corrupt.
Cuba is corrupt.
Puerto Rico is corrupt.
Haiti is corrupt.
Venezuela is corrupt.
Colombia is corrupt.
Name a country without corruption and without drug trade.
U.S Merida initiative offered $ 3.6 billion (over 3 years) in aid to Mexico by the U.S. to fight Narco-Communism in the Caribbean area.
That this money was offered by the U.S. and
NOT requested by Mexico.
Mexican federal agents think that this money is NOT necessary. In 2007 we spent $ 2.4 billion in the drug war, this year we’ve spent $ 3.9 billion so far. I don’t know why Americans are thinking that we are begging for help, we are not!!
Supply and Demand- If the U.S. wants to help, just secure your borders, stop corruption, and stop the traffic of illegal weapons and drugs. Yes! The U.S. is the main supplier of illegal weapons to Mexico. on the other hand Mexico is a major supplier of illegal drugs to the U.S.
Supply & Demand.- Most of the cocaine in America is smuggled via Cuba through Florida State.
Why should Mexico be concerned about fighting Drug Cartels and Drug trafficking, if the USA is not?

I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but the American government does what’s best for them.
Nothing is ever as it seems.

I didn’t read all of that, but I think Obama will do what ordinary americans will do. I trust in his ideas and duties.

go to Obama’s web site and find out what he thinks. along with conversations he has had with the media on there web site. Either way he can’t do much without the congress voting on it.

One solution is to legalize Marijuana. This would have a huge positive impact in the USA. This would make it no longer a gateway drug which would reduce the amount of contact simple pot users would have with bad drug dealers. This could also help stimulate the economy by providing new taxes, by taxing like cigs, and new jobs form growing and others. This would greatly reduce the crime rates and the prison populations of small time users. In 2008 for the first time ever marijuana was the number one cash crop over corn in the USA. So thank about it… Lose approx. 200 Billion a year to just fight and jail over small time marijuana OR make 200 Billion a year and lower crime rates in the USA.

Whats his agenda? IDK ask john mccain, since obama switched half his views to what mccain said he would do if he got elected.

Narco-terrorism exists because we are trying to force our anti-drug policies on other countries.
If you don’t know all the details of the situation, which obviously you do not, how can you possibly make an informed decision on the issue?
We should be utilizing our resources to prevent the drugs form coming in, not for getting rid of the competition for our favored drug dealers of the year.
How can you truly have free market economics when you are trying to limit the choice of product? If there is a demand, people will always be willing to fill it, if the price is right.
See here is American neocon logic.
there is a source of he drugs filling the demand in other countries besides America. If we can make those other countries alter their policies, to prevent that demand, then it will kill the producer’s business and limit what comes into America.
Just one problem with that….. the more people you try to tell how to live… the more people you’ll have oppose you.
Stay in your dreamworld, it is much easier for you there.

Why would he change it? The U.S. gov’t is making more money than ever from the “illegal” drug trade. You don’t cut off a key source of money during a recession.
July 17th, 2012 at 4:38 am
Obama has used and sold drugs (see his AutoBio) and he has stated more than once he supports legalizing pot. When you have a drug pusher and user in the White House, why would he oppose drug use.
He also has stated that the border should remain open, so he will do nothing to protect Americans from Drug Dealers/Pushers/Users and the crooks who supply them.

Legalize, Regulate, Tax its win/win
July 17th, 2012 at 5:34 am
There is no “president” Obama.
July 17th, 2012 at 5:56 am
McCain lost because he was all Clark Kent and Neville Chamberlain wisecracks… what does that tell you?
July 17th, 2012 at 6:55 am
Wow, that’s a hell of a “question”… just because Newt Gingerich says it’s important doesn’t mean that it really is. There are bigger fish to fry–economy, middle east, energy.
Unless something catastrophic happens during his tenure, I’m guessing the current policy of ignoring the problem entirely and deepening the plight of the people of the countries in question by encouraging “free trade” agreements that destroy their market for locally-produced (non-narcotic) goods.

The war on drugs is a bigger waste of time and money than the war in iraq

Given MS-15 has, at this point become an early stage II insurgency and more or less actively started to seize control of parts of Mexico, we are probably more concerned about the effect on cross border violence. The fact that this particular group uses drugs as their primary source of revenue is the reason we say we’re fighting narco-terrorism, but that is not the central issue. An on-going civil war across from a fairly open border is not in our best inetrests. Thus, why we are concerned about Mexico. You heard it here first, within two decades US armed forces will be used to stablize the border regions.
July 17th, 2012 at 7:50 am
NONE, I do not recall any debate or policy on the drug war.
The Patriot Act covers the smuggling of anything.
So, to attempt or initiate any true interception, eradication or any action of any sort, the law enforcement community has to be allowed to do its job – interception and apprehension followed by the justices to detain.
However, to be effective, the US has to first purge its own corruption in Congress, otherwise, NEVER… monkey see monkey do…
Believe it or not, my English Professor, a German Native told us in 85 that in approximately 20 years we would see Colombia from our borders, he was not wrong, we have seen it for last 3 years. (He meant the violence in Colombia, which is what we see here…)

About drugs ? Nothing
July 17th, 2012 at 7:54 am
LOL if you want security be it with mexico Canada or any where & especially against terrorism you backed the wrong guy. He want to cut security especially military but even on our borders. Also he doesn’t think drug users nor dealers should go to jail & while I agree that jail doesn’t cure addicts fact is that most if not close to all addicts commit other crimes to pay for their addictions. Anything from stealing breakins & theft to assualt rape robbering & car jackings any of those things can of course lead to accidental & intentional death of victims yet according to osama they don’t deserve jail just because their addicts. We have fueled both sides of the war spending as much foreignly & internally as we do on buying drugs. Last year we spent something like 20 billion dollars fighting & helping fight drug cartels in central & south america while we spend something like 16- 21 on buying the drugs. You can’t do anything half assed which is what we have done in the war on drugs for years & why Iraq & even Afganistan havent been the straigtforward conflicts we all had thought & hoped for. You need to jump in it completely & full heartedly after we’ve won we can worry about winning back any friends lost just look at Japan or Germany we fought both nuked one & their two of our biggest trading & allies in the world 60 some years later. Same goes for oil as long as people use it all the time every day people will have to pay & as long as other countries control it we have little choice as to what we pay because demand is always there the supply is not. People elected someone afraid to be american leader of america..

It is almost an impossible fight. How do you help a country with such corruption clean up a drug war.

Obama and Calderon Know that, they are going to be addressing that problem.
Merida Initiative is BS: Last June 30, President George W. Bush signed into law the “Merida Initiative”, better known as Plan Merida or Plan Mexico, just days after it passed Congress as part of the Iraq supplemental funding bill. The measure had to go through several versions before finally being approved by both houses, as legislators went back and forth with the Bush administration and Mexico President Felipe Calderón’s government over human rights conditions. The final aid package of $ 400 million differs little in content and conception from the original version presented by President Bush on Oct.
The initiative contains fatal flaws in its strategy. Its military approach to counter-narcotics work will escalate drug-related violence and human rights abuses and result in an inability to achieve its own goals.
Although presented as an unprecedented effort to fight burgeoning drug trafficking and violence related to organized crime in Mexico, the “Regional Security Cooperation Initiative” will be a failure and a waste of money, and instead stopping the flow of illegal drugs, it will boost it, So communist Cuba can continue trafficking cocaine into Florida while spreading violence in the Mexican/USA border.
